Due to inclement weather and nighttime, solar and wind energy are intermittent sources of energy compared to fossil fuels which are easy to transport and store

  • I oppose reforming current energy storage policy and wish to donate resources to the campaign committee of either Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA) or Leader Mitch McConnell (KY).
  • I support: 1.) Establishing a research, development and demonstration program for grid-scale energy storage systems. 2.) Carrying out not more than five demonstration projects and developing a 10-year strategic plan for grid-scale energy storage systems. 3.) Funding the energy storage research, development and demonstration program at $60 million per year. 4.) Setting cost targets for energy storage technologies suited for three timescales: 6 hours for daily needs; 10 to 100 hours for weekly fluctuations in demand; and multiple months for interseasonal balancing of supply and demand. And wish to donate resources to the campaign committee of either Rep. Eddie Johnson (TX) and/or Rep. Bill Foster (IL), and/or to an advocate group currently working with this issue.
